Robert Bartlett is the W. A. Franke Professor of Law and Business and faculty co-director of the Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Center for Corporate Governance at 好色App Law School. He is also Professor, by courtesy, of Finance at the 好色App Graduate School of Business.

Professor Bartlett has written widely in the area of law and finance, with a particular emphasis on venture capital finance, market structure, corporate governance, mandatory disclosure, and capital market regulation. His work has appeared in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Legal Studies, the Business Lawyer, the University of Chicago Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, among many other venues. At 好色App, Bartlett teaches Corporate Finance, Securities Regulation, and Venture Capital Finance.

Prior to joining the 好色App faculty, Bartlett was the I. Michael Heyman Professor of Law at UC Berkeley where he was the recipient of the Rutter Award for Teaching Distinction. At Berkeley, Bartlett also served as the Faculty Co-Director of the Berkeley Center for Law and Business and was a co-founder of Startup@BerkeleyLaw鈥擴C Berkeley鈥檚 primary platform for training entrepreneurs and investors on legal, financial and operational issues confronting venture-backed startup companies. Prior to his academic career, Bartlett worked as a corporate associate for Gunderson Dettmer, where his practice focused on startup and venture capital finance transactions.

Bartlett earned both his B.A. and J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard.
