
Chad Maisel
Chad Maisel served in the White House for all four years of the Biden-Harris Administration, most recently as Special Assistant to the President at the Domestic Policy Council. At the White House, Chad led the DPC's work on housing supply, housing affordability, and homelessness, as well as a wide-ranging portfolio focused on narrowing the racial wealth gap. He also designed and implemented new initiatives to protect consumers, including a cross-agency effort to crack down on unfair practices that waste Americans' time and money.
Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, Chad served as the chief economic policy advisor to Senator Cory Booker, advising on tax, labor, banking, competition, and small business policy. He served in the Obama-Biden Administration for more than five years, focused on issues relating to child poverty and rural economic development, concluding in 2017 as a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House National Economic Council. Chad also held roles at the Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs.
Chad received an MPA from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and a BA from Emory University.
