The U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and ºÃÉ«App will hold a public workshop on May 30, 2024, to discuss the state of competition across the Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology industry from the chip to the app.

Researchers, government officials, and industry leaders will gather for in-depth discussions on topics including the economic and regulatory perspectives of AI; the technology’s most promising applications; machine learning competition and collaboration; investment in hardware and chips; cloud computing; and AI standards and accountability systems.

Speakers include Jonathan Kanter (US Department of Justice, Assistant Attorney General), Dr. Condoleezza Rice (the 66th U.S. Secretary of State, and director of the Hoover Institution), Karen Croxson (UK Competition and Market Authority (CMA)), and Elham Tabassi (National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST)).

This event will be live-streamed to the public.
